Leg(s) for Day(s)

The other day, I finally came up with a "leg day" workout that made me sweat and sore that evening and into the following day. I have been consistently working out for the past three months and it always takes so much for my legs to actually feel a burn. My favorite part of the body to train is the lower body, but I have learned through several bodybuilding and fitness websites, that is not wise to work your legs more than two days a week. Your legs need at least 48 hours of rest to recuperate.

In the mean time, this has forced me to work other areas of my body, just to give my lower limbs a break from my wanted daily abuse. I have even began to enjoy a little cardio, because it has greatly reduced the size of my midsection. I will continue to share my fitness journey throughout the remainder of the year and start to decide whether or not to have separate fitness blog. Take care Love and have a restful evening. Thanks for sharing my life. -cc

oatmeal and healthy tuna salad sandwich

In preparation of my fitness competition on November 8th 2014, I have been trying to become creative with my clean eating lifestyle. For breakfast, I had a healthy serving of oatmeal with bananas and peanut butter. For lunch, I created a healthy batch of tuna salad - made with plain greek yogurt (fat free), cottage cheese and garlic pepper, parsley, and craisins for flavoring....

Toronto Countdown Begins

And so it begins, my official health challenge to attend my first fitness event that will be held in Toronto, Canada early next year.

My morning began with a healthy bowl of Quaker oatmeal with craisins, light honey, Jiffy extra crunchy peanut butter and fat free milk......

After breakfast, I dedicated my daily workout on "strengthening and conditioning my back through a series of sets and reps with different weight intensities. I also threw in a few calf raises and hamstring action. Tomorrow, I will be working on calves (depending on how sore they are) and I will be focusing on shoulders and a warm up on the stair machine for my quick cardio.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and have a great week ahead!! Thanks for sharing my life Love. -cc
